CGI - Instructions
Simply access the file through your favorite web browser (eg Netscape). For example, the URL to access Headgap's TF Email CGI is as follows:
http://www.headgap.com/tfemail.acgi
You will be prompted to enter your user name and password. You must enter the password exactly as it is recorded in my systems User Manager - i.e. the comparison is case sensitive. Because this is a CGI, Lynx users can also pick up their mail.
If you are accessing the Web Server through an authenticated proxy server, you may find that you are unable to enter your own user name and password for your TF BBS. In this instance, enter the user name and password for the proxy server and then respond 'No' to the 'Authorization failed; retry?' query. This will present you with a form where you can fill in a user name and password.
To view a mail item, simply click on the hyperlink (the subject line), or check the check box to the left of the item and choose 'View'. You may check more than one mail item in order to view more than one item on a single page.
To delete mail, simply check the mail items as desired and select 'Delete'.
First choose 'New Mail Message' from the main email page. Fill in the necessary fields of the form that appears and select 'Send' to send the mail message.
In order to reply to mail, simply push the 'Reply' button at the bottom of the mail message. The entire original message will automatically be quoted, and you can edit it as desired. To send the new message, choose 'Send'.
