Donald McHose: Has anyone seen a sever slow down with uploads in the last few
betas of TF server ?
Jim Leary: can't say that I've seen any problems with transfers but I don't
upload to SI if that's what you're referring to
Donald McHose: Our system is just about not accepting any uploads what so
ever. I am trying to pin it down to software or hard drive. Norton says
everything is great. A upload to ours will start and then hang.
Donald McHose: It does do a fair job of sending files..I was just wondering
if our drive is starting to feel its age.
Mikael Fredriksson: Have seen anything like that here on my system
Jim Leary: what about the method of connection to your server...modem/cable
line, whatever
Jim Leary: have you checked that
Donald McHose: Well that helps a great deal...We are having a problem there
to in the connection.
Donald McHose: I am working on the problem now
Donald McHose: The TSU unit is giving errors.
Donald McHose: I have called in the Calvary to start on this.
Donald McHose: I just wanted to know if I was fighting two different fronts
Donald McHose: Oh and the terminal server just crapped out in its ROM..Rains

Mikael Fredriksson: My External 2 GB HD on the BBS lost its power supply last
night...
Mikael Fredriksson: not lately
Donald McHose: Received a note from Jon last week.
Jim Leary: I got the trial version of their mail PI and forgot to order the
permanent PI, now my mail is down because it expired
Jim Leary: I need another temp until I order the full version
Donald McHose: I needed info on the mail-pi update....I found that the best
way to get in touch was mail via their site. It may take a few days to get a
return but Jon does/has for the last few times I have inquired.
Jim Leary: I have is e-mail...I was planning to contact him that way
Jim Leary: in fact, I'm going to send one now
Donald McHose: I had to go through a few versions prior to ordering and it
was never a problem.
Donald McHose: I have asked that he include mail sent and to get attachments
working as soon as possible.
Donald McHose: the attachments problem looks like a tuff one but they know
its a priority. Of course so is their other jobs.
Jim Leary: Ok, I sent it. I'm confident he'll come through. I just hope its
soon. We have over 100 clients on our system and I don't want it to be down
too long
Mikael Fredriksson: yea it will be nice if we get attachments working
Jim Leary: so where did RT go on vacation
Donald McHose: Don't know but we could start some good rumors ;-)
