     This is the latest Shareware Version of the StuffIt File Compression Utility.      As you can see, StuffIt Lite creates smaller archives than Compact Pro does, and also accesses files in your archives faster than Compact Pro.  So Aladdin Systems & Raymond Lau, are offering registered users of Compact Pro a special Shareware price of $15 for StuffIt Lite, a $10 savings from its normal price.

     But you may be thinking, "I already have Compact Pro, so why should I go through the process of converting to another compression format?"  With StuffIt Lite, you don't have to.  StuffIt Lite is able to expand Compact Pro archives, so you will be able to access the data in your old archives.  However, since you'll probably want to take advantage of the better compression of StuffIt Lite, there is also a utility called CPT2SIT available here on C-Breeze. CPT2SIT will quickly convert any of your ".cpt" Compact Pro archives to ".sit" StuffIt archives in one easy step.

     For those of you who have the comercial version, StuffIt Deluxe 3.0.3, The C-Breeze has an Upgrade Package to 3.0.4 for you.  All these "StuffIt" Items can be found in the "Mac De/Compression Tools" section, which is in both the "Mac Files" and "Telecommunications" sections.
